My name is Noah Bogel and I'll graduate in the class of 2027. I live in Denver, Colorado, and I'm excited to find a University that matches my academic and athletic ambitions. Tennis has been an important part of my life since I began playing at the age of two. My love of sports has led me to be a multi-sport athlete, competing in soccer and basketball throughout middle school. These sports taught me the importance of teamwork, which I apply to the tennis court as a singles and doubles player.
During my freshman year of high school, I was on the winning tennis team that won the 4A team state title. In my sophomore year, I made significant accomplishments by winning both the individual and team state titles in number one doubles. This accomplishment required great determination and mental courage. Especially when down a set and behind 1-3 in the third set. Rather than concede defeat, I fought for every point, making a comeback and winning 7-5 in the third.
I consistently work hard all year to improve my tennis game, competing in local and out-of-state tournaments and training at top academies such as Rick Macci Tennis Academy, Weil Tennis Academy, IMG Academy and Nadal Academy. My devotion to tennis means more than just myself; I also volunteer at the Denver Tennis Park, where I teach children, and with the Rose Foundation, where I give back to my community.
My on-court skills include versatility, mental toughness and a passion for competition, particularly as an underdog. Under pressure, I excel at tiebreakers by giving no free points and making high-IQ shots. I'm coachable and eager to take risks and adapt to opponents' gamestyles.
Off the court, I am interested in education, particularly business , journalism and media. To further this desire, I attended a play-by-play sports broadcasting camp with virtual weekly sessions, which provided me with experience in the broadcasting field. I also received the Spring into Excellence award from IMG Academy in eighth grade for exemplifying the school's core principles.
I am an athlete who consistently demonstrates a five-star work ethic and strives to improve every day. Whether on the court or in the classroom, I welcome obstacles, learn from setbacks, and work to achieve my goals.
