Hi! My name is Kinaree Eichner. I am currently a sophomore at Kent Denver High School and have just gotten back from studying abroad in Switzerland this past semester. I have been playing volleyball for 7 years and vividly remember the first time I fell in love with the sport. I come from an extremely athletic and close-knit family that enjoys spending time together. I am 5'7", 120 pounds, and have been playing club since I was 11 years old. Just this past season I have been awarded MVP at the Chapperal Showcase where my school team came in first place. I am fortunate enough to train with Derrick Middleton at Elite Speed which has enhanced my ability to be an asset on and off the court. I have been captain since I started playing club and continue to learn and grow as a leader. Throughout the different teams I have played on, I learned that to perform successfully your team must respect each other. All the players must hold themselves accountable to achieve a higher standard. Players that push themselves on their off days become stronger mentally and physically. Going to Elite Speed and attending my semester abroad has taught me discipline is a simple, yet imperative characteristic to becoming successful. I believe that the way you do anything is the way you do everything and I hope that attitude allows me to impact whatever team I am on in a positive manner. Concerning colleges, I am interested in the most selective academic schools and am open to any division level. I am also open to a wide range of school sizes ranging from a small liberal arts college to a larger state institution. I would be happy to experience a variety of geographic locations but would prefer schools closer to the East coast. I am an academically driven student that is aspiring to turn my focus toward law school afterward. The schools that I am most inspired by are schools that can provide a challenging academic curriculum that will prepare me for the future. Looking forward to discussing these ideas!
