I enjoy the disciplines of tennis as they prepare me for life's challenges and obstacles. You have to be ok with the spilt decisions you make while playing tennis, much like in life you can't always stay on the same path wondering if you've made the right choice or not. While I'm often looked at as the "Under Dog", I'm ok with it as I see the "Under Dogs" as the people that make the world stronger and keep it up and running.
My primary goal for tennis in college will be to keep me focused and engaged. While I know it can also help me afford college it will also allow me to meet a different array of people. I recognize tennis as a mental game not just physical. I see this part of the game helping me become a psychiatrist, by understanding the workings of the mind. Having a strong sportsmanship is key to being successful at both the personal level and team level, by encouraging others, always being teachable and keeping your goals attainable. I recognize I'm not the best, as you should always want to improve as you live your life.
