I first ran track and competed in long jump during 6th grade. There has been many obstacles in my journey to attain greatness.I live by a mantra I learned a couple years back,”the secret to victory is defeat”.This mantra simple means that when you lose a race or jump short or when anything does not go your way, instead of getting down on yourself, you should keep going and learn from that experience.I apply this mantra in the classroom as well when,I don’t do good on a test I go back and see what I can do better next time.No matter where I go,I come prepared to work it doesn’t matter if it is a practice or meet I put one hundred percent into the task at hand.
