Being a talented individual simply isn't enough for athletics at this day and age. You need to be a team player. Although most people view Track and Field as an individual sport, I believe quite the opposite. As a junior, I was captain for the hurdle program at Ramstein High School. I helped lead a small program to 6+ athletes qualifying for European championship. (Equivalent of states in the U.S). I believe my leadership abilities will help any team I join, whether it just be the close group of hurdlers, or the entire track team. Being a military child means I adapt very well to any new situations and environment. I have never lived in one location for more than 4 years, meaning I constantly have to make new friends and new teammates wherever I go. Being able to adapt and being flexible no matter what, would make me a great addition to any team as I would be able to integrate very easily. As a matter of fact, I’m in the process of joining a German Track team even though I do not speak the language!
I know my willingness and motivation to learn whether at school or track will make me an ideal candidate to any Colleges.
IMPORTANT INFO: My time zone is 6 hours ahead of most of the U.S, so If I am not responding, that is most likely the reason. (My time zone: Gmt+2)
