Bridgette StroblWhy would a coach want me? Because I have the three A's: Academics, Athleticism and Attitude!
I am a dedicated and passionate student athlete. I put 110% into everything I do on and off the field. I have found that playing sports gives me the extra drive to balance and manage my school and softball life. I am not perfect but I strive to leave it all on the field both in sports and academics. I don't let adversity get me down - i look at it as an opportunity to get better, be better. Challenge accepted!
I desire to play at the college level and major in a science/math related field as I desire an ultimate career in the medical field. I am interested in healthcare as I want to do something that can affect the lives of others around me in a positive manner. I often volunteer as a tutor and this summer I will be tutoring elementary kids in math and reading at my former elementary school. I am seeking a college that gives me the best opportunity to do this.
I am very proud to have lettered in Academics (1), Softball (3) and as a Baseball Manager (2). I have also swam on my JV swim team for the past two years not only to better condition myself as an athlete but to push myself outside my comfort zone. When I first began I was literally considered a non-swimmer. I was recently accepted into my HS National Honor Society and I am the co-president of the Knitting and Crocheting Club. I love being able to bring something that is considered outdated back into my school. I was a leader and team captain this past year of both my high school team and of my competitive 16A team 2017 Summerball Travel Team. This was a selection by both my peers and coaches. My teammates on both my competitive and high school teams see me as a positive person - working on keeping our energy up and working together. I am playing for the TC Stars 18 Gold team for my Summer 2018 season and I am super excited to have made this elite Colorado team.
As for character, my parents get all the credit in guiding me and teaching me to set priorities and to make good choices. They've always taught me it isn't the decisions that are hard but living with the consequences of those decisions. I am blessed that I have them both in my corner.
