Taylor Myers '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Taylor Myers. I am currently going into my junior year at Caravel Academy a Private College Preparatory School. I have been playing softball since I was old enough to hold a bat. I started with T-ball and played little league until I started playing for the Delaware Magic Travel team 8 years ago. I also played for my middle school team and was brought up to start on the JV team as an eighth grader last season. This Season I played Varsity. Softball is so much more than a sport to me, it’s where I have made some of my greatest memories with some of my greatest friends and coaches. I would call myself a Utility player. My primary position is third base, but I also play first base and outfield, lately my travel coach has had me moved to short stop too which I am enjoying learning. I love to learn new things even at this stage in the game.

My goal is to play in college to not only further my softball career but my education. I am driven in both school and softball. I currently am in the National Junior Honor society. My grades are extremely important to me. In my free time I like to give back to kids that are learning to love the game of softball by volunteering at our local little league where I have coached for the last two years. If I can help one child to learn to love the game the way I do it makes it all worth it! I am excited to see what the future holds for my softball and college careers. But most importantly, I wouldn't being able to do any of this without God!
