Personal Statement
Along with many aspects of my life, my involvement in athletics has been a major influence on who I am as a person today. Softball has been a big part of my life since I was five years and all that time has taught me multiple lessons and skills on and off the field. From those 10 years, I have learned how to lead others in a constructive and passionate mannerism whether it is in softball or school. I have learned the importance of forming a connection and trust between people I interact with. Softball has gifted me with countless meaningful relationships and supportive mentors. It has provided me with a community separate from school that I feel safe but also challenged in. The encouragement from those people is what lead me to pursue high academic and athletic goals in high school and in college.
I strive to be in an environment that is challenging both academically and athletically. I believe that I would thrive in an environment that challenges me to get out of my comfort zone and be the best I can be. I am fortunate to go to a school that supports that kind of lifestyle and will help me flourish in it. This is why I believe I have the talent to not only succeed on the field but also in the classroom. I know I have the determination, character, and mindset to add to your program. As a lifelong athlete, I know what it means to buy into being a serious athlete and giving my all for everyone else on the field with me.
