Hi coaches, my name is Madison Shannon. I am a talented softball player with many years of experience playing travel and varsity level ball. I have competed in: ASA, USSSA, Tripple Crown, NSA, PG levels of softball throughout my Blitz club softball career. I am a great utility player but excel when placed in the second base infield position as well as the catcher position. It is important to me that I build a strong connection with my teammates and give my absolute best every day. My past and current coaches would describe me as dedicated, hardworking and a natural born leader. Communication is something I do very well with in addition to being a forward thinker both on and off the field. In addition to softball, I take part in other high school level sports and activities such as: band, jazz band, key club, and silver cord volunteer hours. When not playing sports, I dedicate my time to academics. I have ambitious goals to continue my education from an undergraduate to a doctoral level; majoring in Veterinary Science. In efforts to continue this education path, I am currently taking college level courses as a high school student.
I am looking for undergraduate programs that offer competitive softball programs as well as degrees in Biology, Animal Science, Microbiology or Zoology. Ideally, I would like to stay in Iowa, but I am willing to move to surrounding Midwest states should the team be the right fit, and scholarships are available toward out of state tuition.
