Kristen Ohlinger '21 Recruiting Profile

     My first love was and always has been softball. There's nothing out there that reminds me more of home. Whether it's practice or games, whenever I step and feel the dirt underneath me I'm transformed into the best version of myself. The best memories of my life took place on that diamond both young and old. It's given me the drive to become who I am today. 

     Softball has not only given me joy but many life lessons as well. It taught me that not everything is going to come naturally. You have to work hard throughout every aspect in life because there is always someone better than you. If it were easy, everybody would do it. These lessons have given me the determination and discipline in order to continually strive to be the best person I can be. 

     My goal for the future is to continue growing both on and off the diamond. I am always looking to learn more and do better day in and day out. I continue to learn more about the game to further my situational IQ. As a player I want to lead by example and be vocal for my teammates, pushing them to their best.
