Taylor Poeppelman '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I am Taylor Poeppelman and I  attend Anna High School. In addition to softball, I also play soccer and basketball while carrying a 3.98 GPA. I take my academics very seriously as I am in multiple higher level college credit classes. My academic goals consist of keeping a high GPA, and  earning a degree in an undecided field. 

The highlight of my high school career was my basketball team making a state run. Unfortunately, it was cut short due to Covid-19. Through this process I learned to enjoy the moments you have while you have them, and the importance of  determination, and teamwork.  Throughout my softball career I have grown not only as an individual, but as a teammate. I have  learned how to overcome tough losses, learn from my mistakes, and I have become a stronger  player because of those experiences. Along with my athletic talents I possess a high sports IQ. I take pride in being a dependable teammate and leader on all of my teams in order to help underclassmen learn and feel comfortable. I feel this builds a positive culture where we can all be successful. I look forward to bringing all of these skills to the collegiate level and to continue to build on them.
