My name is Lexie Lovelace. I will graduate in 2025 from Newcastle High School in the Oklahoma City area. I have been playing softball since I was 6 years old and hope to continue playing the game I love in college. I absolutely love the competition and comradery of the sport. My primary position in travel ball has been center field. During my sophomore season of high school ball, I was asked to play second, a position I had never played. I worked diligently with my travel ball coach who played in the baseball minor leagues to learn the fundamentals and become the best second baseman possible. I was honored with first team all-district at second that season and continue to play second for my high school team. Softball has taught me that hard work is essential for success on the softball field, classroom, and in life. I plan on majoring in Exercise Science or Physical Therapy in college so I can help other athletes get back on the field faster and perform at their best. I am taking concurrent college classes to help my transition into college and set me up for success once I get to college. I feel I can be successful in the classroom and make an immediate impact for a college team at the next level.
