Hi! My name is Jasmine Richards, and I am currently a junior at Ringwood High School, in Oklahoma. I aspire to play softball and/ or powerlift at the next level. As we are such a small school, I also have the opportunity to run track and field events, including the 100m dash, long jump, shotput, and discus. I have excelled at all 3 sports that I am involved in, including getting an invitation and playing on the Tri-County All Conference Fastpitch team and the Cherokee Strip All Conference Team, playing catcher on both of those teams my sophomore and Junior year. Also, my freshman and sophomore year I went to state for track and field in long jump, the 100, and shotput. My freshman and sophomore year I also went to state for powerlifting, placing runner up my sophomore year. My Junior year I earned the title State Champion. My goals for college are to get a scholarship to play softball and/or powerlift at a college while I pursue my goal of becoming an Athletic Trainer. I have stepped into a role as leader of the team by playing as catcher, and am able to affectively lead the team from behind the plate.
In the classroom I have received the National Honors Society Award, Student of the Quarter Award twice, and the Masonic Lodge Student of Today Award. Currently I am a 3.92 GPA student. I'm willing to work hard on and off the field to reach my goals.
