Blayre Buckner So...My collegiate goals would be to somehow make that team better. I live for the adrenaline of softball the fun times in dugouts, practices, great plays, close games. I have yet to experience those at collegiate level although I am very excited for. I think I would be a good candidate for a team due to my teammate skills. As a freshman I played short and I was left behind by 7 seniors. This pushed me to ride my unexperienced teammates the next year. I calmed their nerves and was the voice on the field. Those seniors leaving was the hardest, but best thing for me. My team struggled tremendously throughout the seasons, I was the leader. I had pressure on myself to keep striving for my goals while helping my teammates reach theirs. I had to have focus to not ever let myself be negative. This in my eyes is something not all softball players have to go through. I have grown as a person and a athlete throughout my high school career and I don't plan to stop here.
