Personal Statement
I'm a 5’6"1st baseman with a secondary position of 3rd base. I'm from Monroe, Oregon and I've been playing softball since I was in the 1st grade and I consider it to be one of the most important things that shaped me into who I am today. I am a hardworking, very coachable player, and a team player. The work ethic that I follow is to always do my best and never give up no matter how difficult things get. I have been following this for many years and it has helped me become a more successful athlete in volleyball, basketball, and especially softball. As a team leader in my travel and school teams I work my hardest so that the other players around me push themselves to compete at the same level. In school I also consider myself a leader in the classroom, helping my peers whenever they may need it and I push my friends to get better grades than me. Volunteering in the community is another area that I am active. I regularly assist in maintaining a local cemetery and I have been helping around the community since I got involved in 4-H in the 5th grade. I recently got accepted into the National Honor Society and with their help I plan to become even more involved in my community. Throughout high school my goal is to maintain a 4.0 GPA and play varsity in all the sports that I play. In college I want to be able to stay in state and major in environmental science.
