My goal is to play college softball at the highest level I can. I enjoy leading and helping my team win in very competitive situations. My coaches have called me 'stone cold'. The more intense the game situation is, the more focused I become. High-pressure games are sort of my happy place. It feels like it is where I am meant to be. I hope that I can continue to compete at that level when I go to college.
Academically, I would like to pursue an undergraduate degree that enables me to go to Law School. This seems like a good fit because I enjoy making logical arguments and winning them.
Softball has helped me become who I am today. When I was in elementary-middle school, I was very overweight. I was bullied by other kids and had a hard time making friends. The softball field was the only place I felt seen and valued by other kids. The doctors eventually figured out that a gluten allergy was causing my weight gain. I was able to change my diet, exercise, and lose weight by the end of 8th grade. I learned that hard work and dedication can overcome almost anything. The experience taught me the importance of compassion and helping others. I hope to someday be able to give back to the sport, coach, and help young girls do the same.
