Paightyn McCoole '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Paightyn McCoole and my dream is to be a college softball player. I am a freshman at Smithfield High School in Smithfield Virginia. My graduation year is 2026. I was one of three freshman picked for my high school's varsity team. I was selected as MVP for the JV team my eighth grade year. My positions are catcher, third base, shortstop, and first base. I am a very dedicated and hard working athlete. My drive to succeed in my sport, and work ethic is what sets me aside from other players. I'm the kind of player that will get extra practice whenever I can. I crave feedback and tips from anyone who watches me play. I will never pass up the opportunity to better my craft. Playing travel softball for five years has taught me how to be a leader both on and off the field. I'm ready for anything that gets thrown my way.  Any challenge i'll tackle with my full ability. Aside from athletics I am a Principals List/Honor Roll student. To me, my academics and just as important as my athletic ability. Finding a college that challenges me both athletically and academically is my ultimate goal. Thank you.
