April 2017As a freshman, I was very shy and never liked to get out of my comfort zone. I knew that I had to get out of that behavior in order to be a good catcher. I took on the difficult challenge because I love being a catcher. I began to open up to my teammates and my coaches. I was the starting catcher as a freshman on my high school team and I am currently the starting catcher as a junior on my high school and travel ball team.
I learned and grew a tremendous amount during the past three years. I have definitely opened up to my teams and I believe that I am a good leader on the field. I fell in love with the game of softball because of the challenges and life lesson that the game creates. I love the thrill and energy it takes to be a catcher. I love always having control of the ball and I love how important the catching position is. I'm hoping to find a program that is a good fit for me athletically as well as academically.
