Winning second team All-Shoreline during my Sophomore year of high school, was a high I never thought I'd reach. However, tearing both of my ACL's impacted me severely. In the moment I thought there was no coming out of it, but learning and growing during these hardships helped me thrive as a student-athlete. I learned through sitting and watching my team grow and learn, that it is the team work, the leadership on and off the court, the determination through everyone involved, and the unconditional love for the sport that truly matters.
Joining a new high school team halfway through my high school career and having to sit out my first year was a tough obstacle to overcome, nonetheless I am beyond grateful for that set back. I was able to focus on my academics, thus learning that I want to major in English and Education, although having a fond interest in Psychology. I didn't stop working to get back on the court, and once I was, there was no turning back. I am proud to say that carrying our team to the Semi's of the NEPSAC tournament was a great experience, but the loss taught me to keep my head up and to keep going. I am excited to have a chance at winning it all this year.
