Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Isabelle Meltzer, and I am a junior at the Summit High School. I started playing golf after my dad started his business TGA, which teaches young kids the basics of golf. I participated in his after school programs and leagues, and eventually fell in love with the sport. Now, I help him coach at summer camps and in local elementary schools, which has furthered my passion for the sport. Currently, I play on my high school's boys varsity team where I am playing distances anywhere from 6000 yards and longer. As an individual, I have been able to qualify for the Girl's State Championship every year of high school. I am a very competitive and hardworking player, and I am very driven to continue to improve my game and my scoring average, and eventually have the opportunity to play competitively in college. I am also working on my mental strength and being able to remain patient when I don't hit a good shot. I think as an athlete, I can bring a good work ethic and a fun vibe to my golf team, and I am very excited to keep working hard and see what the future holds!
