Personal Statement

I am a 2026 golfer and a part of the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour as well as the Virginia State Golf Association. I am part of the National Honors Society, with a cumulative GPA of 4.114. I was the captain of our varsity coed golf team for the last two years. I enjoy playing golf and would love to continue playing in college.

I shot an 88 on the first day, fighting a right miss. I put in work on the range after the first round to get ready for round two. The second round went much better, and although I wasn't hitting many greens, I had 8 up-and-downs. My short game allowed me to keep bogeys and blowups off the card, shooting an 80.

At this event, I shot my personal best competition score of a +6, 78 from 5105 yards. The course was very dry with hard fairways and dry patches with no grass. Because of this, I had to have excellent ball striking to make good contact and hit good shots. There were many holes with danger off the tee, so club selection and course management were a huge part of my game. I was playing well because I was hitting greens and not putting myself in danger, which allowed me to limit or eliminate blowup holes and keep my score low. By shooting 78, I was in third place, one stroke behind first and second, who had both shot 77.
