Maggie Smith '24 Recruiting Profile

My dream is to play soccer at the collegiate level all while earning a degree in coaching and education.  I am definitely committed to my sports. My school doesn't have soccer so I travel 2 evenings a week to Tulsa, Ok for club soccer practice after I finish basketball practice at school.  The drive one way is 1 hour and 40 min.  I play for WSA (West Side Alliance) and my coach is  Carl Coates.    I have played soccer since I was 3 years old.  My heart is in defense.  The position I play is center defender.  I can play in any position but I love defense.  I am a mainly right footer but can play with both.   I am dedicated whole heartedly to the sports I play and academics.  I maintain all A's, play a starting position on the Varsity basketball team,  travel to play and practice soccer and also am involved in other school sports and activities.  I strive to do my best at anything I am part of.  I believe to be an asset to a team  and with academics you must be dedicated, focused, communicate and work well with others, have a positive attitude,  and believe anything is possible.
