Courtney Maxwell '19 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Courtney Maxwell. I attend Caravel Academy as a junior, graduating in 2019. I have played varsity since 9th grade as an outside hitter, usually going all the way around. This year for my school team, I contributed more by volunteering to set in times of need and taking more control over the back row. Although, for travel I play a range of different positions, like, outside, middle, and right side. I believe that I am a well-rounded player, who always competes academically and athletically to achieve goals. When looking at a college, I would like to major in the sciences and minor in journalism. When I go to college I want to make sure I feel that can I acclimate well to the school and that it has many activities I can participate in. I wish to find a volleyball team that I can contribute to and that constantly wants to get better. When I am on the court I am determined to put everything I have out there. My school team reaches the post-season state tournament and I hope next year we can go even further. I have played open/club volleyball since 2014. My 2015 club team went to USAV Nationals in Indianapolis and finished winning flight 7. I always enjoy playing such high-ranking teams and can't wait to continue playing in the seasons to come.
