Being a four sport athlete I have had coaches at every level tell me how coachable I am. I know I can always learn and improve so I listen to what my coaches have to teach me. Goal setting is something that I have found to help push me to be the best I can be. My love for volleyball started when I was little going to my older sister's tournaments. I’d always jump to the chance to pepper with my sister and her teammates. I started club volleyball when I was 11. I have been playing club ever since and have developed into a team leader.
I played varsity as a Freshman and started my sophomore year. My sophomore year we qualified for state for the first time in our school's history. That was an amazing experience! I received the Iowa Girls' Coaches Association E. Wayne Cooley award for character and leadership. Not only am I an athlete, I am also very involved in my school and community. I participate in Student Leadership Team, FCCLA, FCA, Choir and Show Choir. I also volunteer at my church and other local charities. I think it is really important to be a well-rounded person and that is why I choose to be involved. My goal is to play volleyball at the collegiate level.
