Personal Statement
Qualifying for state AAU tournament both my 7th and 8th grade year was the highlight of my middle school career. However, participating in my first club tryouts was the experience that led me to re-focus my own efforts on becoming a solid outside hitter and all around player capable of competing at the college level.
I consider myself fortunate to be surrounded by coaches, teammates, and family who understand my goals, both academically and athletically. My dedication partnered with strong work ethic will enhance my leadership as I progress my high school career. I am excited about the endless opportunities ahead of me on the journey to compete at college level.
Moving schools in the middle of high school was hard but it has definitely taught me a lot about how to adapt to new situations which I think that skill will be much needed for college. Unfortunately, my move cost me a chance to play at the varsity level has a sophomore because of a 90 day wait for students that open and enroll. I am using my second year of club and many private lessons to improve and get stronger in all skill sets so I can be ready to dominate in the fall!
