Alyssa McDonald '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello! 

My name is Alyssa McDonald. I am a junior that attends Shawnee Mission South High School. I was the starting right side on the varsity team at South this year. 

Although my primary position is right side, I’m easily versatile and willing to put anything to the test. One of my greatest strengths would be that I’m very friendly and determined to get the job done. I love being surrounded with teammates and coaches who push me to be better.

I am extremely passionate about volleyball. I have always had a love for the sport. I was offered a spot on the PVA 17 elite team this year and started playing this fall. 

Even though I’m a junior, I‘m already focused on my academic plans after high school. I plan on majoring in psychology or athletic training.
