Personal Statement
Welcome! I am Briley Murray, currently a sophomore at Russell County High School. As I look forward to my future, I envision college to be a season of growth academically, athletically and personally. With that said, my long term goals are to excel in volleyball and obtain a position on collegiate team, at a school that best fits me on a personal level.
I was first introduced to volleyball as a 6 grader. From my very first moments on the court the game became my passion-always seeking something to make me better at the game and more versatile as a player. I began playing primarily as a setter in middle school. As an 8th grader, I moved up to play on the high school varsity team where I have played all around but primarily opposite hitter.
As a Freshman, my primary position was varsity opposite hitter playing all around. Recently, I received the varsity accomplishments of Most Service Aces and Player Of the Year.
I will begin my third year of club ball this year. My primary position is opposite hitter, following up with middle hitter for the Lake Cumberland Extreme 18U team.
I am excited to begin mapping out my journey to my collegiate volleyball career. I hope to continue striving to become the best version of myself, for the betterment of my future on and off the court.
