Emily Boyer '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi I'm Emily! I'm a junior from Carl Albert High School in Midwest City, Oklahoma. I also play for Oklahoma Peak Volleyball in Oklahoma City on the 17-1 EP team. I've been playing club volleyball since I was twelve years old. I'm known for always having a big smile on my face and encouraging words for my teammates. 

At this time, I'm undecided on a college major. One thing I do know is that I want to play volleyball at the collegiate level. Something I've learned during this pandemic is that I feel very blessed to be able to take even one step onto the court to play the game I love even if it is only during practice.

One of my strengths is the element of surprise when I am setting. My height has helped me be even more successful as a setter. My primary position is setter, but I will play any position that my team needs me to play for us to be successful. My teammates have looked to me many times to do what it takes to get the win for our team. I always want to be a player that steps up and finds a way to win.
