Hello! My name is Carlie, and I am what my coaches call a utility player. I don't have one position. On junior-varsity, I am a starting setter and outside hitter depending on the game. On varsity, I mainly go in as a middle hitter. On the court, I am a very diverse person. While maintaining a 4.0 GPA, I am a part of many extracurricular activities and clubs at my school such as science club, stem, choir, and even a leadership role in our school's marching band. I don't know what I would do without volleyball. Volleyball isn't just another exercise for me. When I go out on the court, everything in the world is right. Volleyball completes me as a person. Being on a team doesn't mean focusing on yourself to me, it means helping yourself AND your teammates. A team is not truly a team if they can't play together effectively while enjoying time on the court. I value a team that has great work ethic, great team work and motivation, and has that "scrappy" ability that is so enjoyable to watch.
