Alana Robinson '22 Recruiting Profile

I’m Alana M. Robinson , and I am a MH/DS, all around player this school year 20-21. I have played volleyball for 8 years, and it’s still my favorite thing to do.  My primary position over the years was as a MH. I still love that position but I actually just love playing volleyball. I’m glad that I’m an asset in every position. The only position that I haven’t played is setter. My coaches love that, I apply whatever they ask me to do. I’m very attentive to new approaches and I am quick to adapt. I always play at my highest level; to improve myself and my team. I am able to play any position, on the spot; for front row and back row, if needed. I’m known for getting big blocks because of my vertical. I’m a great passer on the back row. My coverage of the court is excellent because of my  speed. 

   I have participated in travel volleyball with USVA, Carolina Region and Palmetto Region, alternately.  I have also been participating in AAU.  I’m an Honors student just about to finish of my junior year. My favorite subject is math. I tutor friends in advance math classes all the time. I have been taking CADD (computer aided design and drafting) and architecture classes, at my high school and would love to build on that in college. My goal is to attend a college that can challenge me academically and give me an opportunity to continue to grow and improve on the volleyball court as well.
