My goal is to play competitive volleyball at the collegiate level, while earning my college degree. My career goal is to become an anesthesiologist with a sports medicine specialty; therefore, I plan to major in biochemistry, biology, or another related health science. I understand that education is essential to my future success and that playing volleyball in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I will combine both experiences and use the valuable skills gained from each and holistically apply them to my life.
I have always been involved in sports, but volleyball is where my interest landed. I have been playing volleyball for the past 6 years. Currently, I play high school and club travel volleyball. I have the ability and skill to be a versatile player. For both high school and club, my primary position is outside hitter. However, I play middle and right side, when needed.
I am a dedicated, passionate, hard-working athlete I am motivated and I play with integrity. I am a team leader that believes in leading by example. I am a supportive and encouraging teammate and a very coachable player. I not only give all I have in practice, but I work extensively outside of practice to further develop my skills to become better at the sport I truly love. I attend camps, private lessons and I am involved with strength and conditioning. I am not afraid of hard work; I see challenges as opportunities for growth. I have found a successful balance between family/friends, academics and sports.
My love for the sport of volleyball is irrefutable. I am aware of the dedication needed in order to be successful at the next level. I believe I would be a great asset to your volleyball program.
