Personal Statement
I have played baseball since I can remember, it has always been a part of my life. My parents have been a great influence on me, and have always been very supportive in all aspects of my life. Through playing baseball and football I have learned self discipline, time management, and the payoff of a good work ethic. I have also learned how to become a leader in high pressure situations, as well as a supportive teammate through my sports career. I know that being coachable and having a personal drive for excellence not only makes me better as a player, but also as a person and teammate, which makes me a great asset to a college team. I also know the value of a good education, and realize it is a privilege not many people get the opportunity to acquire. I am looking for a good fit for me academically, as well as a sports program that will challenge me to become a better student athlete and help me to continue to build good character in all parts of my life.
