2020 PBR WorkoutStarting at shortstop on the varsity baseball team as a freshman was a dream come true. But with this accomplishment came challenges, and I realized that I not only had to perform athletically, but I also had to perform as a leader. I strove to demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment. Although we didn't win a championship, we did triple the team win total from the previous year. Our whole team was anxious for the 2020 season. That was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID-19. Instead of letting this lost season depress me, I turned this disappointment into a time of individual training and skill development so that I could return and be a bigger asset to the team in 2021.
Baseball has taught me the value of working hard, committing to myself and my team, and leading others toward success. I'm looking for a college program that is a good fit for me on the field as well as in the classroom. I have the drive, the talent, and the attitude to compete in college. Being a three-sport athlete and a 4.0 student, I have the skills to succeed at the next level.
