Daniel Collins '22 Recruiting Profile

From the classroom to the field, I have always worked to be the best I can be.  I know that many of my accomplishments have come from having a positive mental attitude and working hard to achieve my goals.  I learned early in life that a positive attitude mixed with an outgoing personality can be contagious.  I believe in teamwork and encouraging  others to be their best.  

I am self-motivated and results oriented.  I study hard to keep my GPA high and I train hard to reach my baseball goals.  I am a right handed pitcher.  My fastball tops out at 90.5 but sits around 87-88.  My breaking ball ranges from 72-73 and my splitter is 79.  I work on increasing velocity and mastering mechanics on a daily basis whether on the mound or in the gym.  That being said, arm care has always been a top priority.  I have been fortunate to work with a professional pitching coach throughout the years that values arm care and utilizing proper mechanics.  

Regarding my GPA, I have taken advanced classes since junior high school in an effort to prepare for the challenges that lie ahead in college and the future.  Like many young ball players, I aspire to take my baseball career to the next level; however, unlike others, I am diligent in my efforts to reach my goals both on and off the field.
