November 2016My name is Donovan Osborne and I'm a senior at Cache High school in Cache, Oklahoma. I was first introduced to golf by my dad at a very young age. The thing that intrigues me the most about golf is that it is both an individual and team sport. The success and failures of the individual part relies on me and I have the control of this success. In saying this, I put my focus and dedication to golf starting my Freshman year. I have been the number 1 bag ever since I was a freshman, I qualified for state my freshman and junior year. I ranked in the top 5 on the 2nd day of the class 4A golf state championship in 2016 at Lake Hefner Golf Club, shooting 1 under par (71) on the last day to improve my place. I played in the South Central Jr PGA and the North Texas Jr PGA tournaments. When it comes to my golf game, I am up to any challenge that comes my way. I have confidence in my game due to my work ethic and commitment. I take great pride in my work ethic and I believe it is superior to the majority of those I compete with.
As a student athlete, academics is very important to me. I have a 3.7 GPA and currently I am in Honors and AP classes. I am in the National Honors Society and received the Academic Letter "C" and Beta Club Awards. I am currently participating in the robotics class. My strong work ethic also applies towards my education. My desire is to pursue a degree in business and finance. I am anxious to learn all I can to become a valuable citizen and give back to my community and country.
