I want to play in the collegiate level of softball for many reasons. First, and most important, because I live in a home with my brother and my mother. My father is deceased and I want to help my family by getting scholarships to college because my mom has worked so hard all of her life to give my brother, Jarrett, and I everything we want. Second, because I love the sport and I have a passion to work and excel at it.
My freshman year of high school taught me so much about being a good sport, commitment, and determination. Playing two sports at the varsity level as a freshman was surely exciting! Especially since both varsity teams were determined to win the state championship. Both teams came extremely close, but neither could get the win. Losing late in the state tournament was surely heartbreaking, but it taught me commitment, it showed me that even though we worked so hard for so many months it doesn't always work out for you. Now, we are even more committed to win this year!
