Daniel Abroms, Mental Performance Coach

Dr. Dan Abroms is a Mental Performance Consultant who has a strong background in assisting and working with individuals, groups, and organizations that strive to make progress and reach their full potential.  Dan served 6 years as a Mental Skills Coordinator with the Boston Red Sox in which he provided individualized and group trainings to professional baseball players, coaches, and front office personnel regarding leadership development and education on the mental skills necessary to authentically perform at their best. Prior to working in professional sports, he served as a Lead Master Resilience Trainer and Performance Expert in support of the U.S. Army for 10 years, designing and leading mental performance and resilience trainings for Soldiers and Units at Fort Hood, TX and other Army Installations worldwide. His work experience has also included roles supporting NCAA Intercollegiate Athletic Departments in which he provided educational training and workshops to advance the development and growth of student-athletes and coaches across a variety of sports.

Dan is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP). He received his B.A. in Psychology from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, his M.S. in Exercise & Sport Sciences with a concentration in Sport Psychology from Ithaca College, and his Ed.D. in Interdisciplinary Leadership from Creighton University.

As a former collegiate athlete, Dan remains competitive and actively engages in recreational sports in his personal life – Especially on the pickleball court and in his determination to get his golf handicap score down as low as possible (more practice with his putting would certainly help). Dan resides in Belton, TX with his amazing wife and two incredibly energetic kids.
