I have been an athlete since I can remember. I have been committed to competing in sports my whole life. I am proud to have a job in sports recruiting and mentoring with NCSA.
At Crespi Carmelite High School in North Los Angeles County, I played baseball, basketball and wrestled, and I also played four years of football. My high school football team was ranked in the top 25 nationally for two years and spent time as the No. 1 team in the country. We won a conference and state championship at Crespi.
I made every mistake possible in the college recruiting process. I was fortunate to play two years and win a conference championship in the top five nationally at Moorpark Junior College in Ventura, California. There, I was a First Team All-Conference defensive back and received several Division I scholarships. I chose Eastern Michigan but returned to California to finish at Division II Chico St. University, where I was a two-time all-conference performer, and we won our first football conference championship in 35 years.
In four years of college football, I had 273 tackles, 15 interceptions, three touchdowns, one blocked field goal, one blocked extra point, a blocked punt and two receptions on offense for 95 yards. I also recovered six onside kicks, threw for a touchdown pass, ran twice from scrimmage, and held a 50-yard field goal. I feel so fortunate to have had four amazing years competing in college football–truly one of the top experiences of my life. Unforgettable!
