The most rewarding part of working for NCSA is connecting with families and allowing them to see what an incredible amount of opportunity is actually available to them. A lot of folks are unaware that the student athlete does not have to be the most talented or smartest out there to get recruited. The number of doors this can open for their child is boundless; whether it means having a way to pay for their education, or leads to the student athlete going pro, becoming a successful business executive, having the opportunity to attend college at all, maybe meeting the love of their life! Working with NCSA means I get to help families envision, and get to be the starting point which positions them to turn their children’s dreams to reality.
Although I never played any sports at the collegiate level, I grew up playing baseball through high school and then decided to focus solely on academics. Although I started out at Virginia Tech, I finished my degree in Computer Information Science at ECPI. During that time, my brother was heavily recruited for D1 baseball and even had an offer to go pro and I was able to see the ins and outs of the recruiting process from start to finish. My passion for not only baseball, but sports in general, continues to grow, especially when combined with being able to help not only the student athlete find their way through the recruiting process, but the parents as well.
