I’m fortunate to already have a nearly three-decade career in Track and Field that spans experiences as a high school and DI college athlete, and a coach at everything from a middle school and club, to over fifteen years as a college coach, shared between a Power 5 university in one of the best track conferences in the country, as well as a small private Division III program. I thoroughly enjoyed my time as an athlete, but for me there’s nothing better than helping other’s reach their potential and goals. I’m excited to help student-athletes and their families make confident decisions and get to the right school for them.

I started my coaching career at my track alma mater immediately after my eligibility was over at Kent State University, where I competed as a pole vaulter. At Kent I worked with the vertical jumpers and coached my first two All-Americans in the PV and HJ. After trying out another profession for a short time, in my late 20s I came back to my first love of coaching while living in NC. At Wake Forest University I was fortunate as a new full-time coach to be mentored by one of the best multi-event coaches in the country, while I was coaching the Wake jumps squad and assisting with the sprinters and multi-eventers. We had multiple national qualifiers in the TJ at both the NCAA and USATF Jr. National level. Another great experience at this time was helping coach some of the best post-collegiate national level Heptathletes and Decathletes that came to live and train with us, including a two-time Olympian decathlete.

Moving back to Ohio after a decade down south, I was again fortunate to coach at another great academic institution, Kenyon College. There I was able to recruit and coach nearly all the events in T&F, and became very appreciative of the versatile athlete who is driven in both the classroom and on the track. We had multiple All-Americans at Kenyon, and a top 20 finish at Nationals with the women’s team. I look forward to using all these experiences to help my NCSA families find their best fits.

Outside of NCSA, I enjoy continuing to coach at the club level here in Central Ohio, as well as spend time with my wife and kids.
