NCSA Marketing and Events
When I started working at NCSA, I knew I had found my team. NCSA is made up largely of former athletes, whether it was playing in high school or at the collegiate level. We all work together toward one goal: to help young athletes get recruited to play in college. Even while working as art director in the marketing department, I feel close to our company’s mission. I feel strongly about what we do here and really feel like I am making a difference in the families we are working with.
Athletics has always been a large part of my life. I started my competitive swimming career at the age of 5. During my career, I broke several records, won state titles, got inducted into the Iowa High School Athletics Hall of Fame and earned a swimming scholarship to the University of Iowa. These acheivements all meant a lot to me, but the real reward was how these experiences formed the person I am today. Athletics had a huge impact on my life, and I only wish the same for the athletes and families we work with. I truly believe NCSA can help make that happen.
Outside of work, I like to stay active. I run and usually train for one long race a year, like a half-marathon or a 15k race. I play on intramural sports leagues with coworkers and friends and also walk my French bulldogs around Chicago. When I am not running or exploring Chicago with my dogs, I enjoy traveling with my husband to different countries or finding our next favorite foodie spot.
I love working in the marketing department at NCSA. It combines my two loves of athletics and graphic design. And with the combination of those going toward the greater good of helping student-athletes, I couldn’t be happier with what I do and the company I work for.
